Advice needed. My 36 Albemarle has 2 Shur-flo pumps. One for the livewell and one for the washdown. The livewell pump is on its last legs and making a horrible grinding sound. The washdown pump periodically overheats (or something to that effect) and is out of service.
I am going to replace both pumps this week, but am considering adding a second livewell as the 24 gallon square built in is not good for pogie as they siwn into the corners and only last a couple of hours.
What I am hoping can be done is to add a combination pump that will run both a washdown the second livewell via a "y" on deck. I know I will sacrifice pressure to do this, but am OK with a low pressure saltwater washdown. I would like a pump that can do high volume and will not lose prime. Any suggestions are extremely welcome as there is not much info out there. Also, any suggestions on good round or oval livewells that will fit under the lenaing post and where to procure, preferrably with fittings, would be helpful.
