    Stress cracks

    Can anybody help me out my Grady has some small stress cracks on the top edge above the rub rail they are small But was wondering if there is a way to repair these small cracks myself or should i have them repaired buy shop.

    I'm not a fiberglass repair expert and had mine done last year by a professional.

    The procedure is that you must grind out all stress cracks beyond their current location and then fiberglass and gel coat over them. If you're good at this kind of stuff....go fo it.

    IMHO, if it's only a couple of minor cracks that do not affect the structural integrity of the boat and no one notices them but you....leave 'em alone. There is no beat out there with a few hours on it that doesn't have stress cracks.
