    Started some projects today

Well it's about that time..... Got the honey do list under control and started on the boat today.

Removed the existing electronics today and started working on the built in cooler behind the helm seat.

Taking some measurements for the new stuff.

Got everything numbered before starting to rip it all apart.

    All gone.

Existing sink, I have another one at the bait station in the pit so I never use this one. I figured that it would be a good place for a cooler. Now I can grab something to drink when everyone is down below sleeping on the way home from the canyons.

All gone.... just have to find a good glass man to help me out with this one.

Ted...looks to me like you and Chopper will be spending lots of time down at the boat the next few weekends. How deep is that cooler going to be? Maybe I missed it in another thread, but what "new" electronics are you installing?

Got all new Garmin stuff. Two 4210's with open array radar, 1kw sounder, sat weather.... I can't wait to get it installed.

As for the cooler. I'm going to make it around 17" deep and it will take up that entire opening. I hate having coolers on the deck and didn't use the sink anyway. It acted as a catch all and was always a mess.

    Nice projects!

I'm sure you thought of this already, but are you going to use the existing sink drain to drain the cooler as the ice melts?

    Yup.

Same drain line.... Just going to put a thru hull fitting in the bottom and use a cedar plug as a stopper.
