starbrite tropical teak oil

I know, i know , starbrite is on the board..... however, has anyone used this product ???? if so were the results good ???

most starbrite products ive used have been great, this is the natural light oil and sealer. It is what im looking for hopefully, i like the " blonde" look of the teak after its done and that is what the product supposedly delivers

Danger Will Robinson...

I used the stuff on a teak table on my deck (at home) - It looked great for about a week and then it curdled... It was the nastiest looking thing... Stripped it bare and did not re-oil.

It might look good if you are willing to keep after it weekly and re-apply regularly - but way too much work for me.

GW273-

If you like the blonde look on the teak, clean with 50/50 sudsy ammonia and water and then follow up with Starbrite Teak Brightener. It will look FAB-U-LOUS....

TEAK

GRADY - TRY CUTTIN THE TEAK OIL 50 / 50 WITH PAINT THINNER. DO A LIGHT COAT. THE PAINT THINNER WILL ALLOW THE OIL TO ABSORB INTO THE WOOD BETTER AND DEEPER. WAIT A FEW DAYS WASH WITH SOAP WATER AND A SMALL AMOUNT OF BLEACH AND A STIFF BRUSH. WAIT TIL IT DRIES THEN APPLY A SECOND COAT. LIGHTLY WITH A BRUSH. ADD ONLY 10 % PAINT THINNER. SHOULD BE VERY NICE. I RECENTLY HAVE USED THE AMAZON TEAK OIL AND I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH IT. IS IT NEW TEAK , OR EXISTING WOOD YOU JUST CLEANED UP ?
