Star Tron

I was reading my latest "Florida Sportsman" magazine and found an advertisement for Star Tron, made by Star brite that is to be used in your fuel to stabalize E10 in gasoline. It then boasts of improving fuel economy, decreasing sediment and other bene's. Has anyone tried it or heard any other news about this fuel treatment?

BTW, which gasoline companies DO NOT use 10% or less Ethanol?

and yes Ethanol is the worst thing us American Creatures have let the fuel companies do to us! Car fuel pumps and systems are getting messed up all the time now also AND if you call your engine tech they will have not much to say to you except use a conditioner! AND do call them because you do not want to leave your motors health up in the air! (It would be like you takeing ex-lax when you have diarea!) E-10 is eating the filters and hoses and takes more corn to feed a car a year than it does to feed lots of people. We do have to wake up soon! Trade Corn for real oil is a good start! Think this is bad for just your engine on your boat ??? wait till 2 million cars don't run anymore and people figure out 'whats up'...

i have run startron in my outboard boat for two yrs. it is the only thing I have found to prevent the alchohol and gas from separating, it solves all of my headaches associated with separation and bacterial growth. good product

STARTRON IS GOOD STUFF. I USE IT WITH THE YAMAHA RING FREE. AND I CHANGE MY FILTERS OFTEN. SPIN ON FILTERS 1X A MONTH, INLINE FILTERS 3 X A SEASON. A BOATERS GROUP IN OREGON PUSHED LEGISLATION TO HAVE ETHANOL FREE FUEL AT MARINAS AND AVIATION CENTERS. DOES ANYONE HAVE " FRIENDS" OR SOMEONE WHO OWES THEM A FAVOR IN CONGRESS OR STATE LEGISLATURE. THIS STUFF IS BAD AND IT IS NOT THE BEST "ENVIRONMENTAL" CHOICE EITHER. I LIVE IN NEW YORK AND WE HAVE A BUNCH OF DEMOCRAT JACK ASS'S HERE LIKE HILLARY. AND SHE WILL NOT DO ANYTHINGF UNLESS SOMEONE ELSE DOES FIRST.

I haven't tried Startron yet. I used to use Stabil now I use Quickleen made by Mercury for my Verado. I've only had to fill up with ethanol 1 time though.

I use Evinrude/Johnson 2+4. with every tank fill. I only change the filters at the beginning of the season. No problems yet(knock on wood)

It could be me, but it seems like the biggest ethanol problems(motorwise, not fuel tanks or fuel lines) have been the Yammi's. Has anyone else noticed this. I was looking at a boat to buy recently and it had twin Yammi 250's on it. I have always liked them, but keep thinking about the problems i have been hearing

I have a '99 200 yammi and this year is the first time I have had a filter begin to seperate within a 1 years use. I haven't had trouble (knock on BIG wood as I head to Islamorada this Friday) to present. i will be buying Star Tron or something similar this week. Thanks for all the input guys!
