In this months edition of 'Trailer Boats' magazine Sept '08, see pg 20- there's an article by their senior tech field editor, Jim Barron- he gives a thumbs up approval overall of Star Tron's product. His report showed an increase of 100 rpm in tach @ WOT, although was not able to discern a measurable increase in fuel economy- - he was using SmartCraft instrumentation- and further study was beyond its capabilities

My experience- I have a '05 Yam 200 HPDI on a '05 22' SeaPro CC; now over 350 hrs; my first 3 seasons I was religiously devoted to only Yammi Ring Free at $16-18 per 8 oz bottle (1 per about 80-100 gals)- and I always poured a full bottle on every fill up- even if only filling 30-40 gals. I baby my boat and especially my motor~ 2 thumbs up to your product, Jim.

I found Star Tron at West Marine this spring and have used it all season- seems to burn cleaner than Yam Ring Free too.

Actually, Jim proved that Star Tron does improve fuel economy. He tested pure gas versus E10 and saw no difference in fuel economy.

E10 usually results in a 10% decrease in fuel economy simply because ethanol does not deliver the same amount of energy as gasoline does. Going to E10 HAS to reduce mpg. So, by seeing no difference when he went to E10, Jim actually "saw" an increase. He's since realized that, btw.
