Stamas 250

I am considering buying a 2006 Stamas 250 Tarpon CC. Does anyone know anything about these boats as far as stability and/or seaworthyness?

we have lots of them down here. They were heavy in some peoples minds so they were not fast enough, but in the long run they have a great build, neat storage and they did not cut corners anywhere on any of them I have ever seen.

heavy boat - lots of wood - lots of unprotected wood too - which means,potential for rot

kind of a modified v hull - not the greatest head sea ride - they will pound - gotta back down the throttles

relativley stable

wiring's a little "mickey mouse",from the factory

i've seen and repaired a few problem with their lift out gunnel caps - the cores rot out - due to lack of sealing the core,from the factory...
