Has anyone ever dealt with Stainless Marine in Florida? What do you think of their quality? Thinking of having them fabricate a transom bracket.

Seen quite a few brackets on different boats. I think they make quality stuff.

they have been at it a good time...

you see lots of their brackets down here. old ones also...(just means they have been making them for years..) ... just make sure whatever bracket you buy YOU take the time to make sure your transom angle, height, width and whether it is to be for four strokes or two strokes and also if it is to be with displacement built in or just a regular bracket. other options are lights and dive ladder...

They are a great group of people to work with. They made a bracket for my Rybo Runner and they walked me through every aspect and I could not be happier. When you call them ask for Brownie he is the man!

get a fiberglass bracket, can be painted same as your boat. get full flotation. hell a glass bracket can be glassed to your boat.

i have an armstrong bracket. solid. its aluminum. it has to be painted diff than glass.

glass can be repaired easy 2.

I have one on my boat. its a 1998. it has held up great. its about time for it to be repainted, but the boat is on its third engine. and the bracket is still doing its job.

I dont know what they are like to work with, since the bracket was installed at the factory.

don herman,"hermco",he makes a fiberglass floatation bracket, the only style i use or reccomend.

don's a real good guy,and he builds a good product..

aluminum brackets,a common mistake owners make is to use the wrong type antifouling paint on the bracket-causing a galvanic reaction, you can't use a copper based paint...lot of guys miss this and cause a huge problem...
