    My understanding as well. Many sports who battle wind drag or any drag co-efficient found that a slightly dimpled or in the case of water resistance a "rough" surface was more efficient.
    Not to stray from the point though and there is a lot of waste rolling paint for sure!

    I remember a while ago Walt Johnson of the J&T had a couple guys wet sanding up to 800 paper followed by polishing the entire hull bottom of his 61 Buddy boat to gain 3 to 4 knots. "The need for speed"
