For overall ride, fuel economy, fishability and looks you would do well with a carolina boat. We are just about finished building our 60 Ritchie Howell and are very pleased with the build ...some recent shots

Take a look through these recent posts and they will shed some light on a few areas you need to consider carefully...good luck with your search and shoot me an email or a PM if you want some suggestions, we just spent a lot of $$$ and time ascertaining the market and there are a few real good gems out there that i uncovered. Capt. Mark,
That rig is AWESOME !! When I met you the other day,my mouth fell open as I looked around. Hope the drool didn't get on anything. I think most people on here know my feelings about Ritchie's boats.... When do you think you'll get to splash her?

Hey Ron .. good seeing you last week. Boat should splash in the next few weeks .. I am back down there on Sunday doing some things on our Viking and overseeing the new boat. Personally, seeing it all come together over the last month or two is really exciting. Ritchies boats speak for themselves, but working with Ritchie has been nothing short of awesome. When you call with a question or idea, you dont get a secretary or shop foreman, you get the guy whose name is on the boat. Its all very personal and we like that ... I'll keep you posted as we get closer to splash date ...

Check out Jim Weavers personal boat. (http://www.weaverboatworks.com/) Sharp, economical and basically brand new.

Mark

I hear ya bro...still waiting for the new boat to turn into a pumpkin at midnight!!!!

(Chances are that won't happen though!!!)

Yes i remember you catching that nice 150# tuna and us passing it off to the 72 Donzi CHIRON so they could keep it fresh in the ice cooler for us, not much room on the old 22' Grady in those days!!! Thankfully, we won't need a support boat out there anymore!!!

Blessed be the patron saints of Custom Carolina Boat Building!!!

I'm flying back to Florida to watch the tower get bolted on in a week and a half...STOKED!!!
