Soda blasting my Bottom
Sorry for the double post I should of posted in in this forum
My boat's bottom needs to be painted for the upcoming season. I need some advice. The boat is currently in OC, Md. I am thinking about having the bottom soda blasted. Anyone ever had their bottoms blasted? Does it remove all the old paint? I had a lift put in last year and want to get the boat looking pretty on the lift. (some paint is chipped off and needs touching up). Anyone in ore close to OC,md have this service? Thanks, John

Soda Blasting
Yes, it will remove all the old paint and will not hurt the gelcoat if done correctly. Popluar thing to do on sailboat when the bottom paint has build
over the years and they want that smooth bottom again to get back that knot and half of speed. ![]() |
