    I just saw this thread and boy am I glad I did- I'll be watching this one progress for sure. Great project! That sure is going to be a beautiful rig when you get it done!

    Hi Fritz, Looking good..... What plank thickness are you using on the hull sides?

    Okoume:

    Those are not planks. That is 1/8" Okoume plywood. We thought is it best to sheath the hull [not the bottom] in this to make faring a bit easier and to prevent plank lines from eventually becoming noticeble through to the surfaces.

    Its a pleasure. I am glad you appreciate it. Its a great chance to showcase a great builder. I think putting something like this back together can be harder than building new. Speaking of new, you ought to see the plans for the all glass 40' he has on the table.

    Fritz, whats going over the Okoume ??, restored a few old ones years ago, Garwood,CC and even a Hacker..wish i had more time and lots & lots of $$$$$$$, no market for the smaller boats down here,But Leprechaun is a classic,nice work.
