    i offered advice to your client about a year ago and he acted like a prima donna boaty a-hole.

    i disagree with putting a plastic sheath over a hull that has not been refitted ..without replacing the screws to plank...i just don't see the point of glassing..i come to this conclusion after replacing thousands of compromised bronze bolts and screws..

    not to mention the keel bolts....keel bolts, thats how this whole thing started between myself and your client...i offered advice from experience , just friendly advice from refitting that hull myself...your client offered up smartassed comments and fluff...i just don't go for that...that's how we ended up here.

    i suggest you don't get involved...do your work and be happy you get paid...this guy is an obvious bonehead .i just don't see any upside in you taking sides in this...

    sincerely from one wooden boat lover to another, i wish you well.

    Another comment from the land of fruits & nuts. You just don't know how to stay down. I have a comment for you- NOBODY ASKED FOR YOUR A-HOLE ADVISE. GOT IT? Like I said before, you have no idea what was done to the boat. You couldn't carry the weight of the amount of new fasteners put into the boat. Let's see, you tell a master boat builder to knock off the BS? Do you really believe a master boat builder and a published naval architect would put together a plan and make improvements that would potentially jeopardise a crew's life? I try to stay above the slop low lifes like you peddle, but sometimes it just gets to me. What apprenticeship have you ever served? How many glass over plank boats or cold molded glass over plywood boats have you built? Just how many full restorations have you done? You throw some screws and bolts in an old hull and that qualifies you as an expert? Be careful who you insult, some people might bight back. Oh ya, how about over 9,000 screws to plank you moron. BTW- I served an apprenticeship with the Carpenters & Joiners of America [that's right master carpenter you j-off] after which I spent nearly 15 years on and under the water in heavy marine construction. So take your bonehead comment and how about you.... oh never mind kids and women visit this sight.
    Now I feel better.

    You mean this: "Do I detect a little jelousy? Perhaps you should ask a few polite questions. You might just learn something. You don't know what has not been done to the boat. Frankly, your a rank amateur compared to guys that put this thing back togther."

    Honestly dude, were you born or did some hobo wank off on a rock so the sun could hatch you? Go away A-hole.

    Sure seems that way. It seems some left coast dude has a a nasty case of the green monster. Crown has put the back together in true east coast / carolina fashion [sorry bubbie I know you are in Virginia] I am proud of the work he has done. Its a shame, but some guys could scew up a redneck picnic.

    come on fritz, ....stop it with the crap...you are an obvious 'poser' that really hasn't a clue what they are talking about...

    as i said a year ago, i have nothing to gain by this exchange......but the bs just keeps flowing...what you really need to do is just SHUT UP...my comments are backed decades of experience refitting wood hulls...your's are backed by pride and ignorance...

    i understand you fierce defense, however misdirected...the more you crow, the more people that actually know what they are talking about will speak up.

    good luck with it....i've really said all i need to at this point.

    Wow again, sounds to me like someone:

    A. Feels screwed for all the screws and bolts they really didn't need to replace, or;

    B. Feels screwed for all of the work they did that did not get published on the net for proper recognition, or;

    C. Has run out of money and is frustrated to see the progress of the same hull, being professionally restored.

    In any of the 3 choices, above, asked and answered applies and it's the owners choice on how to do the restore, not yours A, B or C.

    Sorry for popping. I hope the thread gets back on track, if not then so be it. As a smart web guy has said to me before, "What do you expect its the internet?" That's the sad part.
