Small Auxiliary engines for offshore emergencies

I just bought a 2009 Sea Fox 236wa with a Honda BF200 hp engine. I will be doing offshore fishing 40 miles. I added an auxiliary engine plate on the far right side of the Stern. The board says 8HP Max and 59lbs Max. What engine do you recommend for emergency safety only. I hope never to need to turn it on? I have narrowed down to a 2 Stroke 8HP Yamaha or a 4 Stroke 5HP Honda. Which one will do the job for me?

Also should I permanently mount the engine and mix the fuel & oil if i take the 2 stroke option?
