Sirius Satellite Weather Thoughts - Raymarine

i was thinking about adding this to my e120 before the season and wanted to know peoples experience with it. any comments or knowledge would be helpful... advantages / disadvantages.

I have it on my Northstar and think that if you fish offshore it is just one more thing in your favor. Not only are the sea surface charts helpful, the weather is incredible. I remember one trip last year when I watched a storm coming offshore from 80 miles away. We were able to work our way around it and saved ourselves quite a head ache. My only complaint would be that I wish the sea surface charts were updated more than twice a day...

Well worth the investment. It nice to be able to track the good water from day to day and see what way it's sliding before you head out. Also good for the pop up t-storms on the way back in.

you should not be offshore without it. Its a great tool. I cant tell you how nice it is to get weather forecast and SST's at your figure tips.

Saved my aggies several times and it is a great help in finding the break offshore. Another plus is that you can also get Sirius radio with the same antenna.
