    Sideways drifting problem

We recently bought a 28 Bertram flybridge. What a great boat. The only thing we've noticed about it that needs fixin' is that it tends to drift dead sideways in the wind. Thereby creating a real problem when trying to stand in relatively light seas. Is this something typical and, short of running the motors to keep her bumped in place or throwing a sea anchor (which would interfere with fishing), what can be done to correct this phenomena?
To note, we usually drift in a northern current and prevailing SE breeze.

    Thanks ahead of time.

    Yep

My family had one when I was still young. It was great under power but probably the most tender Deep V we ever had drifting.

As soon as I saw the title I guessed BERTRAM.

The only fix that I'm aware of, other than the sea-anchor, is to stay at the dock.

The guys over at www.bertram31.com have some experience with this, you might try searching there. There's also a B28 forum. http://ebiz.netopia.com/bertram28/
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.
