Side Tuna Door on Center Console??

Check this out. Rob at Panga Marine built a boat for Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota for them to use for research. Part of the build was to have a door in the hull for them to launch submersibles and tag sharks, etc..

Granted the pictures were taken on a slick cam day, but I could see haulin' in a fatty through that door.

Pretty cool.

Intrepid does the same thing too.

Seems like a good idea for outboard powered boats as long as the cockpit is self draining and the bilge hatches are water tight.

The side door has been an option on INTREPID cc's for years. It is a tuna/dive door. I would love to have a side door.

THE SIDE DOOR SHOULD BE MANDATORY IF ONE IS AN OFFSHOREMAN IT'S FUNNY...I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE INSTALLED YET.

BUT WHAT I WANT IS THAT BIG ASS RAW WATER PUMP IN THE PIT FOR MY SPLATTER WASH DOWN.
