Should I buy it without a sea trial???

I am very close to buying a new 24 capehorn, but I cant get a sea trial, I have heard some great things about the ride on here. But im not sure about buying the boat without getting on her myself..........I need some input, are they that good where I dont need a sea trial. Its a new boat so I know the systems are fine, its not like buying an older boat......Just not sure what to do.

It's hard to imagine that they won't seatrial a boat with things the way they are in the boat biz right now ,I would think they would do what ever it took to sell a boat,Go somewhere else and get treated right ,

The next bite on a jig.
I met some guys over the weekend that were water testing kayaks with their customers before they bought. If those guys can do that, I would think you should be able to get a sea trial.

If not, I would wonder what the service will be like down the road if you do have a problem?

Sure, I'd by a house without seeing it first, Why not? Oh yeah I've heard of guy's getting mail order brides, that ALWAY'S work's out, right? Buy a boat without a seatrial, not on your life. Frank,SeaPower

Sea Trial...in the long run you will be glad you did. To get this thing sold they should be catering to you - the market isnt good at all - why are they unwilling to offer one????

New doesn't always mean perfect. Have seen plenty of new boat problems described on many websites.

SEA TRIAL is a must in my opinion. Good Luck.

I know this sounds strange but even if you do not know how to skipper a boat then put a buddy who can, on the boat do not buy without a trail, whats it going to do sink when they put it in the water? Why do they not want you to try the boat? something smells here.

bought a boat once without seatrial. hated it and after 6 years had only 90 hours.
have 4 boats not 18' to 43' and learned my lesson--no trial, no purchase

    Why no seatrial?

Is it because it is in the middle of the winter? If so.... and your afraid to loose the deal they are offering, and feel you need to act now....why don't you put down a deposit and in the terms... state that it must be contigent on a sea trial in the spring?

    Pretty common, I would think?????

No ride..... No sale.... end of story!
