Sheer Lines - Bertram and Hatteras

A while back (around 1987) some genius at Hatteras decided to change the Sheer Line to a broken or stepped one just like Bertram. I personally thought it was terrible, as it made the Hatt more Bertram like in appearrance. Fortunately, they have gone back and now have that distinctive Hatteras look.

Now, Bertram, under Italian ownership, has gone and changed their Sheer to an S-curve just like Hatteras. Why? For me, it is a big mistake, as it makes the brands resemble each other too closely, like most cars today.

I much prefer that they keep their own signature Sheer lines that identify their heritage?

i agree i definitely prefer the older bertram sheerline with the step cuz it is one of those things that makes a bertram a bertram. The hatteras old sheelines were also very good looking and almost resmebeled those of some custom boats
