And the 36 is suppose to be better than the 34 with the added weight in the bow and is really capable of batting those seas down!
I do not want to hijack the thread talking about this particular boat but I will answer the questions you asked though.* You are pretty much right on with the numbers for cruise and WOT.* I think "iguana" (posted above), it is his old boat, said the cruise is a little closer to 35.* I did get to take it for a ride before I sent it down to YF to have the tanks checked out as well as a few other things.* The boat ran great during our trial.* I have fished the 34 also and it is a great boat as well, you should check them out also.* I believe "Billy the Kid" still has his 34 for sale.http://www.sportfishermen.com/board/...1-a-52770.html(You will not find a cleaner and well kept 34 than this one.)

I know Jarrett Bay Yacht sales as a 34 venture for sale as well.

You may want to check out the Contender 33T as well, I have heard a lot of good things about that boat as well.

Good Luck in your search.

Deep Defiance/Tolock,

Right on with DDs numbers. I think/talk knots and the boat is a 33-35 knot cruise @ 4500RPMs which is 36-39 mph range. I think we saw 48 knots light w/out paint but 45-46 (50-51 mph) is more real world.

You can expect to average about 1.5 nmpg in canyon fishing including the troll. 24-28 GPH burn at 32-36 knots.

Can't say anything bad about the rig. Lowest maintenance rig I have ever owned, fun to drive, great platform for all types of fishing. I am moving to an express to accomodate family and 2 day canyon trips but hope to buy another Yellowfin (as an accessory for a condo in Costa Rica I hope).

Tolock - if you make it up North for tourneys I will try to catch up with you (on land of course, can't touch the YF on the water)

I need a CC that is first and formost CANYON CAPABLE in all means, is fuel efficient, fuel capable (range wise),fish storage (must be able to store a significant amount of tuna in deck boxes) and seaworthiness(has to be able to handle all sea conditions). This CC must have semi- mid high gunnels, live wells, and on the flip side to fishing the inshore waters for striped bass and all other inshore species .As I search all manufacturers of offshore CC in the USED 31" to 34" range. I will post all of my likes and dislikes of all these models and hope this will help readers see what I'm truely looking for in a offshore CC with these options.

Thank You to all that have helped all ready.

deffinentely look at yellow fins there very canyon cabable there is one at my docks in scituate can make it to the vinyard to hydroghraphers and back and not worry about feul with 2 yamaha 350 and is fast and still very inshore fishable

Don't know if you like a cat,but a true offshore boat that will make easy runs for you is a 33 freeman. They are made in NC.Check out this custom built boat.
http://www.freemanboatworks.com/Freeman_33_Specs.php

There are two of them down in Venice La as charter boats and are able to fish when other boats can't.
