    sea craft's in the shop...

didn't launch the sea craft this season - been fishin' the bertram.
sea craft's in need of a little love - the beast's been run and run hard.the deck's developed a few soft spots - gonna pull the deck out, recore it,and reinstall/refinish.gonna make a really cool upgrade - gonna build a pilot house around the console - incorporating the console...
the boat's currently in the shop - since early june - collecting dust - been extremeley busy this season - mostly big jobs - i'm not complaining,by any stretch of the imagination - i like having lots of work - i enjoy being busy...
when i start this project,i will post the pictures...

    stay tuned...

    side note:
i really miss the sea craft - the center console with a flush forward deck is definatley the way to go - 2 man crew,is all that's needed.if a big fish is hooked up,one crew fights the fish outta the bow, other crew member runs the boat, and keeps the bow toward the fish - nothing in the way...
fishin' the bertram's a little tougher,it's a flybridge boat - need a 3 man crew to really fish the boat - the autopilot is a great feature - especially trolling - but, having the helm at a different level than the 'pit is definatley a disadvantage - but - with the season we're having so far,it's definatley not hurting us

gonna make a "mock up" out of 1/4" plywood first,to see what it's gonna look like - then,i'm gonna build it out of divinycell - vacum bagged - i have a mold for the top - it's gotta radar mount molded into it.

Jawz, can you do a step by step when it comes to the decks. I unfortunately will have to do the same to my 1976-23' SeaCraft Inboard and I just want to know what I'll be up against. I would also like to see how your house comes out. I built mine commercial style. It is not pretty but functional. Good luck on breathing new life into the old girl. I don't believe there is a better riding 23' boat out there.

its got a 2005 Marine power FWC 350-330hp. As far as I know all the original inboards were built with the tunnel. Thank you.
