As a Fijian resident,I really feel sad to see years of investment of people with talent,passion & vision ending up like this.Only the few "fighters" with real good business tactics would survive this "forever" economic doom & gloom!!

Thanks, by the way , not being nosey , but what other shops are closing in the park? I knew Croswait had closed ,as well as B&D ,is it the shop diagonally from Bayliss? as its been several different builders for as long as i can remember.
not trying to hijack thethread here, just a little walk down memorey lane. Again a real shame as that little town was filled with alot of talent that may never return!

I think you are talking about Kyle Brigllias shop, his last boat was finished by Bluewater a year or so ago and he held onto the shop for awhile and rented it out to a couple of guys to do some repair work in. The bank got it this summer and it is for sale.

Dean Johnson shut down and he is charter fishing inshore out of the fishing center in a day boat he built.

Polaty has taken over the helm at the haul out/boatyard which is Bluewater and moved Freedom into Croswaites old shop across the street from one of Buddies old shops.

Some guys from up north bought the Sculley built Water Witch from the bank and are reworking it in a small shop Sculley had on the water front which is one of Buddies old shops.

There are a few refit jobs floating around, we are starting one on a 45 Hatteras the first of December, new hard top, frame and some cosmetic stuff but other than the ones you know bout it has slowed to a crawl.

If you make it down one day, look me up. It would be great to reminiss !

p.s. i see Brians boat is listed again on e-bay,someone repainted it light blue , it looks good. the 38' express that i built after that got hung under the dock and went under , think the owner is going to refurb. again , thanks and hopefully you have a great thanksgiving!
