Thanks for the replies. Wayne I am doing it in my garage and don't have the environment to do your way. No experience in spraying so I will use Bristol. Question Do you sand between coats?
Thanks all Craig

Craig-
I have found that sanding between coats produces the best finish. However, you can also apply 4-5 coats (or as many coats as you want) using the wet-on-wet method and let that cure for 48 hours. Then sand with 600 or 800 depending upon how much leveling you have to do and then put the final coat on. After sanding....wipe with a tack cloth and then go over it with a rag dampened with a little acetone. This will smooth out the surface perfectly.
Be careful of the pot life. The instructions say that it has a 4 hour pot life....don't believe it! For best results, mix small batches that you can use in no more than 1 hour. After the first 30 minutes, I thin it a little with acetone.
Also be very careful when mixing the catalyst....be as accurate as possible. DO NOT STIR TOO MUCH! If you overstir, then you will get bubbles and you might as well throw that batch out and start over.
For doing the door, I found that a 2.5 - 3 inch brush works best. Don't spend too much on the brush...medium quality ($3-$4) brush will work fine. I buy several and throw the brush out after each application and use a new one each time. I could never get all the varnish out of the brush when I tried to clean them.
Good luck and feel free to post up or PM me with any other questions.
