Rust stains on metal

Hi,

Took my fighting chair off the boat the other day to clean it up a bit and there are some rust stains starting to develop on parts of the metal fittings.... THE HORROR! Any suggestions as to what works best to stop this before it gets worse? On/Off has worked well but I don't think it is supposed to be used on metal?

Just be sure to re-polish the metal after using the Whink. Works great on fiberglass too.
