    RPM Issue F225

Did a system check on the lake today to make sure everything is running right before I get to the big water. Everything purring like a kitty but I did a little blast of full throttle on the way back to the ramp and my starboard motor would only spin up to 5100 rpms. I dont ever run the motors at this speed so it doesnt really bother me but I just want to make sure it isnt something that I should be concerned about. Anyone have any experience with this?

Check your O2 sensor on that side, and you do want to fix it as it has to do with your oil mix if I remember what motors you have.

f225 is a 4 stroke. no oil mix. your top rpm should be 6000. what is the other motor at full?

Im not sure exactly how the throtle positioning sensor works on the f series but it may need adjustment. whatever the case something is either imposing more load or preventing the one engine from reaching its potential. get it checked out. you do not want to be putting unnecessary stress on that engine.

Thanks for the input. Honestly I dont think that it has been propped right since I have owned it. There has certainly been work done to that prop, although it checks out right. Will also check out the throttle sensor.

    Thanks!
