Get a can of Marine CRC and spray those babys down after every wash. Hope this helps.Originally Posted by TheBigI
Rem oil gun lube works good also
I've personally not had any issue with the "newer" rollers with the teflon sleeve. I do have older stuff that we would spray down with WD40. They claim the new stuff prefers waterproof grease as opposed to spray lubes ... whatever. Very easy to take apart. Unscrew and let the roller fall out of the frame. Then push out the bushing (The dark tube) clean them up ... and if needed grease em
Keep them clean ... Hose them down well with fresh water ... Also wrap some floss or fishing line around them run it back and forth and make sure they spin free.
Just general maintenance... Every now and again we run stockingsthrough ring guides to make sure there are no burs/cracks inside the guide/frame.... that also is good for the rollers etc ... The hose snags on them if they are there ... and the wife wonders why there are holes in her stockings

I like the older frames ... .they just seem more solid ... better built IMO
