One of the great things about building in metal rather than GRP is that we have just about infinite changeability.

Once we have drawn the boat it exists - we don't have to do all of the tooling that the fiberglass guys do.

Want more cockpit space....sure. Want fordeck space...sure! Want a 35' sure. Fat guy that needs lots of space between wheel and seat...sure! Its very freeing.

It can actually be a bit of a problem as well. Once someone grasps the ability to make changes we end up with instructions like:

"Make the distance from the leading edge of the leaning post to the trailing edge of the wheel 16 5/32".....

Also - I thought that a small brow on the swept back windshield would look good and block some sun...

First of all thanks Jay she is looking stunning!!!
Guys what is "practical" should be the way to think, the idea of the cabin is to get out of the cold and wet, as long as there is enough seating for you and crew, the primary objective is to fish so cockpit space should take priority, having said that though, If it is going to be a family boat and the Mrs Woman wants to be comfortable for the weekend well then perhaps a trade off I like the west coast style for allot of reasons, remember this hull has no Carolina Flare and may take some over the front, the Portuguese bridge style works well for this, plus cuts allot of glare, pantograph windshield wipers, and demisters, will go along way to making tour life allot more fun in spring and fall fishing.

Hey looks great hate to bump that on a dark night
but as a sport fisherman would you put folding doors in the back of the "CAB" or would you put sliding doors port & starboard, and a large opening window for communication in the back, with the fisherman, this route might offer more seating in the cab ie u shape seating ringing the back of the cab, not as quick to the sticks though, thought's guy's???
pity this hull cannot accommodate inboards then it would be the cats danglers!!!! anyway with a bit of luck those 300 hp turbo diesel o/b's will be available soon then that answers the problem. love it looking great

Glad you like it and I'm sure we could do the diesels - just a matter of where you want the box(es)!

On the aft side of the cabin we could do a bulkhead and center door, sliders, drop curtain or even a roll-up stainless door. Whatever the customer wants.

Final illustrations:

Ahhh, ask and ye shall recieve. Love the combat version, will concept and trial take into account the radar return difference between the slope windshield and the slant back, I would think the slope face would be better for radar signature??? Do they test this area on a smaller craft such as this??? Keep the updates coming. {Go in Fast, Go in Low, Go in Hot.}

They test everything. Twice. Three times if they have the budget and the time!
