Ritchie Compass Recommendation?

Looking for a compass that can be mounted to the bottom of the overhead electronics box of the 32' express. I was looking at the B-51 Explorer "bracket mount", but wasn't sure that was designed to hang vs. a top mount. Do any of you have a similar setup or have any recommendations as far a good model to be mounted this way?

There has to be a spot where you can mount a regular compass on the flat. I have only seen upside down compasses under a bunk for a captain to look at while he is in the rack.....Not sure how waterproof they are. Kind of small too. Keep looking if that is what you want. A plain ss 1000 or ss 2000 would be fine.

I will never have another "bracket mount" as long as I own a boat, nor will I own a small one that is hard to read. If you have to build a box for it, so be it but I won't get a "bracket mount"

Don't know how much room you have in your electronics box, but ritchie makes a nice flush wall mount if you have the room for it
