here's a new 23' sailfish center console...i'm rigging it with electronics and riggers and cool stuff like that....
it's getting a c-120 raymarine with the 18"radome,along with the dsm and a icom 302 vhf....here's where we are right now...the transducer is on and ran,the c-120 is mounted as well as the icom vhf...the dsm is in and it's all wired except for the radome-waiting for the antenna mount and the v-tail adapter-what this is.....it keeps the radome parallel to the water surface, and the v-tail allows you to mount the gps antenna and the anchor light all in one spot-real clean installation.....
check out the pics...........i'll show the rest when the boat is done tomorrow....
ok here's a few more shots of this rig..
i got the radar antenna mount along with what's called a "v tail adapter" and a "dual mount"....using this set up really helps you out,it raises the antenna slightly as well as angeling it down-this helps keep the antenna parallel with the surface of the water....also by using this set up-it makes a real clean installation-it holds the anchor light and the gps antenna...remember the anchor light needs to be higher than any other obstruction on the top...and the gps antenna should never be in a direct path of the radar beam-the v tail adapter does this for you....
tomorrow we've gotta hard wire the 12v supply to all the equipment and test it all out before this rig is delivered to it's new owner....
here's a few pics...
also, the cost of the boat??? not sure,i believe it's in the ball park of $70k...as far as the electronics package...it got the c-120 the 18" radome and the gps antenna along with the dsm and the transducer...the icom vhf too....
labor for the rigging should work out in the ball park of $1,500 plus materials...
and "yes"..that's blood on the starboard plate-damn that hurt !!
all right boys...i just "put a fork" in this rig....it's done...sorry i didn't get a full shot of it complete with the riggers rigged and the antennas up...we'll wait for the owner to post up on that one !!
here's afew shots of the wiring in the console for the electronics i installed...all the connections are "heat shrink" sealed to prevent corrosion...the fuse holders are the ancor water proof in line style...
