I saw a bunch of pictures when you had the boat. Pretty cool. The refit was done by ricky scarborough Jr. and he did a great job. It sucks but I have the boat for sale. I just don't have the time to use it. By the way it still is good at raising white marlins!

Thumbs up GOTHCA 41 Ricky Scarborough

I purchased a 41 Scarborough back in July and am in the process of providing some updates before she is moved from Charleston to Orange Beach, AL to fish the Gulf! This is an awesome post! I am trying to figure out exactly how many 41's are out there? I know Milo's boat, the Retriever, the one I purchased the old SANTINA. Does anyone know for sure?

    7 hulls

From what I dug up was that he (Ricky) built 7 of these hulls.
2 were express hulls and 5 were flybridge boats, one of them being a dayboat (no rear bulkhead) which was the Agitator.
Enjoy the ride, your going to love it!

    cutting the keel

can someone edumacate me on removing the keel on these boats. I know you get more speed but it seems it would make it squirrely in a following sea with out the keel. Also how else does it affect one to remove the keel? thanks. tom

I love this thread. So good to see Agitator rebuild process. I looked into buying her when she was in S.C. but she needed serious tender lovin care. So great to see the boat getting the great care and rebuild. Great boats. Keep the posts coming.
It is a really small world. My father and I came to your house to look at buying the Sassy gal. Beautiful boat. You had just gotten back from black marlin fishing in Aus. and showed us some pics. We were really interested in it but we ending up trying to work out a deal on a 30 Rybovich and then it fell through.
I also fished on Gerhowsers 30' Scarborough for years. Got my first sail on the fly with him.

Sure wish I had that boat for our bus. in Costa Rica. Great fish raising machines!

The Santina was my uncle's boat, ran out of Indian River Inlet, DE. She's one great boat.

had the pleasure of surveying the Santina a few years ago. Very nice rig. handled like a dream.

If i had the coin, i would love to have one of these rigs- of course than I would need to coin to use it and maintain it.

    Should have stayed in school......
