Was with ryan and milo last weekend and saw the boat first hand. Was very impressed with the updates and work they have done to the boat. Havent missed a beat since building both Dem Boys with Ricky.

Nice work on the 39. What's the plan with her upon completion? With a boat this size does anyone have thoughts on Zeus or IPS propulsion?

    Performance

    Jeremy,
What kind of performance are you getting,rpm's/speed/fuel?
Im building a 46' Carolina Style,Juniper Boat, fairly light weight, about 20000 lbs. Have not decided on engines yet.

For fuel burn the best speed is around 25kts. I burn about 26 gallons an hour at 2600rpm. I usually run the boat at 28kts and I'm burning like 32 gallons an hour at that speed. Boat tops out around 34kts. They have been good engines so far. No smoke at all. I'm not sure they have enough ass to push a 46 footer. I'd probably go with the qsc 500-600. My boat weighs in at 22000 pounds I'm also running 2.5 to 1 gears.

    Agitator/Kahuna

Just found this thread, wanted to put my 2 cents in. I was an owner of the Agitator for 5 years in the early 2000's. I was one of many owners of this fine boat and have many regrets of letting her go. Post #17 asked about pix of her as Agitator. I have some shots of her new and LOADS of pix when I owned her. I chartered it out of Block Island, RI and let me tell you, she turned some heads..and raised a lot of fish. It was known as Kahuna then. Also of note, it was the only dayboat built, but I know the next owner put in a bulkhead. Hope the new owner puts it back the way she was.
Now I will go back and sift through the numerous pages regarding her.

    Agitator /Kahuna

OK, so i just went back and read them all. I confirmed the boat (to me) when I saw the fuel tanks on the sawhorses.

Anyways, that is one hell of a refit you guys did. Almost wish I didnt see it cuz now I really miss her. Ironic to see that Brad went from a Topaz to Ricky and I went from Ricky to Topaz (37). Hope you post some more pix Jeremy.
