Rumors aside who is buying all these new boats? Last time I checked fiberglass boats start out as a petroleum product, resin etc. It's plastic, so it's basically made from oil.It seems to make a little sense(not for the employees of the shop) to stop or limit production in pace with orders.Eveyone(not everyone) has been "moving up" to a bigger rig and with the current economic state of things there just does'nt seem to be that great a demand or need for people to buy boats (new or used)let alone have the $$ to run them. All that plastic/frp is not biodegradable! Sorry for the rant just .02$ worth.

Counted more Regulators than any other CC on Friday in Hudson

I work in NYC and have several photographic vendors in Europe. They all close their plants for two weeks in the summer and everyone has a vacation at the same time. No worries who's covering for someone on vacation, everyone is on vacation. Not a big deal. After counting the NEW 32's, a 29 and 26's in the Hudson on Friday I would say they are doing just fine. We were in a new 32' Yellowfin, I saw 1 Contender, 1 Grady, 1 Hydra Sport, and one other brand. Let me know if I missed you, sorry in advance. Counted 8 Regulators!

By the way, it took two hours to get home to Manasquan Inlet in the 32' Yellowfin, what a ride-thanks Mulldog!

Amen to that, I was on my 29 Reg. We commented on how many regulators where out there. I saw you on the yellow yellowfing 32 right? We had slow pickings, but a great day after all. 2 hours home, 34 knots. Lovin my regulator

Cool REGULATOR BOATS PLANT DOORS CLOSED?

Another rumor- Sea Ray in Fla may be having similar issue? Don't know.

Pres. Bush today called for more offshore drilling of our own reserves. Dems and Obama say drilling our own oil will just prolong our need for alternative sources of energy.
Think about it! Doesn't that answer admit that drilling our own oil is in fact at least a tempoarary solution if not longer.

Those of us who remember the oil embargo had the same stuff thrown at us then; 55 mph speed limit; diesal cars; wankel engines; and poof a little competition and fuel was produced at levels again to meet demand at reasonable prices.

Just let the American people suffer while someone figures out how to run our combustion engines on air!, water!,

Not to mention those platforms make great fads.

    Make that two 29's

I did see you also and sorry counted you as a 32. Yes we were on the yellow 32' Yellowfin. We had some Yellowfin & some Mahi. Felt a little guilty leaving our 26 Regulator home after seeing all those other Regs out there.

PHATMANN in 96 the Republican congress passed a bill to open the anwr and the near shore drilling Willy vetoed it Now the same party is saying that it will take 10 yrs to see the oil relief kinda ironic isn't it Not to mention that the same president killed the 15 yr impact studies for new refineries that were very close to being done Not to mention that the same party is pushing the global warming scam yet the facts do not back it up
This congress has an agenda and it is to coerce the stupid which it is doing The country's energy supply is crushing working people yet They want to investigate Baseball,Football and Horse racing Not to mention every chance they get they bash this president
He is but one man and Congress doesn't have one with a set of balls to do what is right
