    Regulator 23 Transducer Question

Which type of transducer do you folks have on your Reg 23's and do you like the performance?

I am looking to upgrade my FF. I am not at all happy with mine. My transducer is a transom mounted 300 watt unit. My next FF will be a 600 or 1,000 watt unit. So I have to swap out the transducer anyway.

If I swap it out, which style would you go with?

We just ordered a Airmar B-164 thru hull ducer for our Triton, thats the 1kw. Supposed to work well in deep water. Airmar also has a B-60 600watt thru hull ducer. Good luck!

I've had a B-60 on the boat for a year now (with an FCV-620) and I love it. Huge step up from the crappy transom mounted ducer. Gives great readings even at full, something I sure wasn't used to with the transom mounted ducer/ff.

I would recommend a 1kW shoot thru. Can be mounted in the bilge, no holes in the hull, will give a very good picture.

    Thanks guys.

How do you get water temp readings on a shoot through?
