    Refit of the Karen Leigh

Converting my single engine notch transom to accept twins. We are going with a half bracket so the notch in the transom is being converted to a door. full transom when running, notch in the slip. The following picture is before the work. The rest are of its current stages.

I have a mold to a fiberglass bracket that would fit.

My twin engine full floatation bracket is 22 degree. I use it on 233 formulas and 23 sea craft hulls.

Bracket is already in production by stainless marine. The blood is from a swarm of yellowfins. Thanks for the interest, I havn't really seen this on a parker before either but in these times I figured it was better than selling.

Gel coat being aplied. Also a hand box was bade for all the rigging to go through. Transom door is being fabricated. I still do not know what power we are going with as I AM STILL SEARCHING FOR A GOOD PAIR OF USED 4 STROKES. Bracket should be in soon.

Do you think the transom will be able to hold a bracket and 2 4 strokes with out being beefed up or kneeing it into the stringers?

Parker does it. They just bolt to transom with washers. No back up plates. We will use some plates but the deck acts as a pretty good stiffener.
