I have been searching used and found some decent boats, leftovers too. Boats dont seem to drop in value as fast as cars. But anyway, has anyone ever ran an Albemarle 242 center console? Looks like a nice boat and definately a good name. Anyone know how capable this boat is? Its a 24 footer so I guess you couldnt go offshore but looks like a nice boat.

I've run the 24 center console albie. The one I fished had a 260hp volvo penta. Ran great, caught lots of fish, been to the bahamas in it too.

Here is the only pic I have of it.

My personal boat is a 27 ocean master with a diesel...10 times better than that albie! Lots more room.

23 Regulator is the boat to beat in that class. Contender is also a nice quality piece with a solid ride. Both will be good on resale. Four strokes would be ideal. Sea Craft is good and I would also put Mako on the list.

Two other brands to look at would be Scout and Sailfish.

SeaVee

Check out SeaVee. They make a great hull proven to raise fish. You can get a single deisel in it and it cruises about 30 and burns about 6GPH..

The longer I work at Viking the harder it is to want to buy a 20 something center console. And thanks for all the info on the used boats, but im not looking to buy until around fenruary or march. I dont wanna waste anyones time. And the more I look around the more I like the new Sea Hunt 260. But i know the resale wont be so great. But with twins and 26 foot I would definately keep it awhile. Check it out... http://www.seahuntboats.com Cant wait for the spring boat shows.
