    Recomendation on Auto pilot

    Any recomendation on autopilot for 30' to 40' sportfisherman inboard with hynautics hydraulic steering?

    Thanks for the quick reply and input I just printed out your link and started a new folder as I do for all my project, as I always regert not researching before implementing improvements.

    I love Furuno for everything but autopilot. We run SIMRAD - I won't get another boat unless it has it.....

    robertson simrad has been the best for years though

    Yep....that's the way I do things as well....it's the engineer in me I guess.....

    Anyway...the AP35 autopilot has held my boat in some pretty nasty stuff including 8-10's and tight 4-6's.....

    I agree with Simrad - I've had an AP11 on my boat for 10 years - very satisfied. The AP35 will be the replacement if ever necessary.

    auto

    had a ap300dl until a lightning strike took it out. Replaced it with the simrad ap28 and wow what a difference.
