have been following this build on another site.
TA (Turbo aftercooled) versions of C 9's are rated at approx 1 hp per cu in. Your modification is generating almost twice that. I dont think you can put those demands on that size block and expect any longevity or reliability. I do wish you guys luck. PS That Topaz hull will beat you to death in 3 footers. Had a 38, pounded pretty bad in a big chop. |

You're a brave man. And an optimistic one too,
but I'm really intrigued by what you're doing here, so please keep the pics and narrative coming.

WOW MASSIVE POWERING
yes, fully agree-that sounds like excessive power.I think that it is ideal in a vessel that is 17-20 tons or so!! just a guess!!

More pics. I love it, and you can never have to much power. You can have to much weight, but never to much power!

We bought the boat in N.Y. and shipped to Ga. Then spent 3 weeks pulling everything out of it. Everything going back in is new or rebuilt, So far the genset is the only rebuilt from the orignal Topaz, evrything else is new...I have work with Cat, ZF, Acme & Veem props to get the drive line size correctly here are some pictures
