According to the factory, the Topaz runs with the bow slightly raised...We are anticipating some problems and making corrections for them as they come along. There will be some rework involved here. I am sending along more pictures. Thanks Greg..
This little boat will be neat for someone who fish's on nice days, and wants to run to the fish. Like fishing out of Stuart and can go north to the pines, or turn and run south, or go to the Bahama's for the day. ( This boat is not for everyone we know)

New updates, pictures, goals ect.
.....We are starting on the home stretch, trying to get all the last minute items nailed down. I have worked with 5~6 guys in the engine/drive business to get the gears and props to pull the horsepower out of the engines, when we can use it .We are buying new rudders they are 12" x 22" the props are 23" dia......If you want to make a recommendation, rudders, ect. I am listening

One of the goals here is to have a set of engines that @ 1700 rpm run close to 38~40 knots....this rpm will give us best fuel burn and greatest engine life..I.E. Cruise range. I think alot of the people who are making suggestion's do not realize we are trying to build engine/ drive pkg's that when turning relatively slow rpm's will give good cruise speeds with out taxing the engines to the outer edge.....This will also add many hours to the life of the engines.

Now, I came from the Porsche World, and served many years doing test work for Mercury.
One thing I learned if you take one of their High Performance engines and turn them slow and take care of them, they are very dependable, and will give a long engine life...

Tomorrow we will have px's of engine's and gears...We are using Acme props, ZF 330/325A's 1.2:1 gears, ZF smart command controls, Cat MPD"s and 2.25 dia. shafts..and we are working w/some Cat's guys on the C-13 performance and engine life guide lines....Thanks Greg

I was going to ask why it sank.... but I think I've got it figured out now.

Interesting work. Looking forward to the results.

We have been working on tedious stuff that doesn't show in pictures . The boat sank, don't know why she would float when I got her. We been doing dyno work and are getting the tower ready to mount . Thanks Greg
