    Radio Help

    Doing work in my radio box i noticed on the back of the radio the gps receiver lead was not hooked up to my vhf radio I have an Icom model ic-m304 it has a distress key,so if needed it will not give lat and lon?Have a lowrance model 520 is it compatable to wire in and how would you do it.     I did ours last weekend. It's pretty easy, just do a search online for your owner's manual (or pull it out if you still have it). Other than that, it's all about matching up the correct color wires!

    if your electroincs are nemad up you should have a bus bar for the outputs from your GPS. Then hook your inputs to the bus bar, auto pilot, radar, radios. The only problem withthe radio wires is they are about 24 ga and a pit to put an end on.
    I think the outputs for a furuno gps are green and yellow. Check your paper work, its not rocket science.W
