Promblem Solved with 671 tib... weird problem
Okay after taking all your guys advice and not being able to stand it anymore.I called the mechanic and he came this afternoon. It turned out to be that it started by a Valve getting stuck which ended up causing one of the keepers to fall out and bridge fell out. The knocking noise was bridge hitting. WE replaced the keeper and the bridge and it was perfectly fine. Thanks again for all your help

I really hope you Dodged a Bullet,
I do hope thing's work out for you with this engine. I'm going to add something here with the risk of sounding like a pessimist. Valve's stick for a reason!!!! I mentioned this on the first reply to your original post. If I understand you right, the valve in question "stuck" in the closed position, and the collet's fell out??? If the valve was stuck, there was and is a reason. Did the collet's come out because of a erronious setting (too tight, too loose) on the valve's after rebuild, did the valve have a bent stem, did it stick because of carbon, did the collet's fall out and the piston slammed it home ??? I mentioned earlier that at least you may want to "run" the rack again, it certainly wouldn't hurt. I can not or will not second guess your mechanic, he's the eye's. But I think I would depress and rotate the valve's, while setting them, to make sure that they are not "binding". Any stiffness in the valve train at cold temp, will be multiplied when hot, after running. If I was to take the boat out and put it under load, I'd be in a position to shut it down, immediately.
I would say that if the valve stuck in the closed position after the collet's fell out, you are a very lucky man. If the same thing happens and the valve fall's into the cylinder, you're gonna have a bad day. Tread lightly and good luck, Frank
