    PROJECT BOAT PAINTING...

I have always had this project boat in mind and i am going to be purchasing a center console hull over this winter i am hoping and re-building the entire boat..

i am looking to get a small mako or something like that and i am wondering what is the best way to paint it?!

i did a 31 ocean master with a friend and we did the hull and the floor but it was all sprayed and i am wondering if i need to spray the boat or if there is other ways to do it!!

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Shoot it!

Awlgrip has an additive for brushing and it can be done by rolling & tipping with a brush, but if you want a yacht quality finish, SHOOT IT!

tip and roll is better than a bad spray job, but it ain't gonna come close to a good spray job.

Preparation is everything - gotta rub on the money if you want yacht quality finish

    Roll or Shoot...???....

depends on the job.. how big.. primer.. sanding.... and top coat on uneven surfaces or flat surfaces.. My wife even helps me roll n tip some hulls so if I can do it anyone can.. I like the spray also and you get the job done in 1 spay time...that you can do in three days of roll n tip... awlgrip is still some amazing good looking durable paint though...remember 90% of your job is the prep work..!
