Problem with Glendening controls?

I've got an '08 model Tiara 38 Open with the Cummins QSC 8.3's and Glendening electronic shift/throttle controls. I love the boat but every few months the electronic controls quit working. Its happened four times in the last two years, most recently to my dealership's techs while they were moving the boat for me (finally, the vehicle hiccups while the mechanic is driving )! Its always labor intensive to track through the entire system looking for a short or a broken connection, and sometimes we find nothing at all. My dealer is on it (Galati's, great folks), so I'm not overly concerned, but I'm wondering whether anyone else been through this problem?

we had a problem with our unit but they took care of it after some negotiations ...even flew a guy down to change the system
