Please tell me about my fuel system.
We've narrowed our fuel problem down to pre-filter starvation. It's a 74 Bertram 28 and is probably the original glass tank. The pick-up looks to be a dual feed unit. We have been having low rpm problems on the port motor and are now having the same thing on the s/b motor. We ran fuel from an outboard tank through the filters and it ran where we think it should have.
What can I expect pulling the pick-up from the tank and is there a valve in it that might be clogged or stuck?
Any help is appreciated, as we're not enjoying the boat to it's fullest potential. And that's just a shame.

the first thing to do is get the tank out..
the back decks come up pretty easy and the gas in your fiberglass tank is not going to work. replace your tank... push in on the sides and see how soft the fiberglass has gotten. pull the fuel plate up and you will se it will look like you coated your tank with paint stripper...
