    Piney Ridge Boatworks Report

Well I decided to go ahead and build myself a decoy skiff.

Here is the start of her, the Nimrod 21 (it was supposed to be 20' but ended up a little bigger when we layed her all out)

She will be powered by a tiller 2 stroke jet of 40-60 horse.

Jeremy and I have been working diligently when we are not fishin.

    plans...

Strong back (Joe made sure it was true and square)

    Transom

    Stations 2 and 3

    Set up laminating keel

Can't wait to put her to use!

Love all the clamps Jay, reminds me of when I did curved stairs, I always needed more clamps.

Looking forward to watching this one come to be...

I'm with Lee...love all the clamps, I'm also partial to the detailed blueprints. From simple sketch to fruition, you’ve been blessed with some unique skills Jay, and I for one appreciate you sharing the process with us.

Blowin hard out of the South

Thought you might like to see how the Nimrod was shapin up over at the shop.

Got her all framed up ready for plankin. sorry for the blurry pic.

Also, pulled the Carolina Skiff in there to paint the bottom, time to put her in the water!

I like it. Nice you got the floor supports in there already. She will plank fast.

No sponsor the last couple of days. Shame too, pretty weather and good fishin.

Nimrod 21 starting to take shape.

Side planking completed. Still have to trim one side.

    on to the bottom.

    in the shop

Recently had a chance to get in the shop.

    Got the Nimrod planked.

glassed and started glueing on the shear gaurd.

gonna try something different with this one, a couple of keelsons to get her to corner a little bit and minimize the slide.

    For Sale

I am building this boat for myself, but I have had some inquiries, and this boat is for sale.

    Hell everything is for sale.

Could be finished however you want.

The could be a fine skinny water fishin machine if you so desire!

    Sweatin to the oldies

Couple of hot sweaty days in the boatshop, but very productive.

Got the smear on the hull, adtech proseal.

Got it sanded, and long boarded.

This morning, did a final fill.

knock that down and we will be ready for Super Build Primer!

    Hopefully fishin in the am.
