Perko urges builders to file emissions waiver

New EPA evaporative emissions standards will take effect July 31 and Perko is urging boatbuilders that qualify for the small-business exemption to file for a waiver now.


The waiver is written into the regulations and gives companies of 500 employees or less the ability to build as many as 1,200 boats in one year that are not in compliance.

Waivers are not automatically given. Builders must file for them.

because our fuel is cut with ethanol.. it's like our government is a big bad drug dealer.. goes for all our cars also...

do the math .. at $3.13 @ gallon and you have a 22 gallon tank in your truck .. you get maybe 15 gpm in a low geared , (not driving fast) F-250 work truck... $71.00 rounded out fuel bill .. how much $ would I save at 30% improvement on fuel burn because of crap fuel???..

330 miles at the best.. and the trucks emissions are 30% to the bad side also..
so about 4.5 miles per gallon I loose out.. ooopss that is right EVERYONE looses out..
don't make me bring up my boats economy...
