what do they do??? it's like this,the zinc sacrifices itself to protect the other metals,the zinc is not as nobel as the other metals,copper,bronze,etc...remember all those nobility charts in physics class ??? the one's you never thought you would need or use??? guess what?? you're using them... the zincs will save the oil cooler,the gear oil cooler,the heat exchanger,etc...be sure and keep after these...NEVER use teflon tape to install these,the tape can actually isolate them,and keep them from grounding,if this happens,the zinc will not do anyhting...lube the threads on them with a cheap grease...
