Pathfinder 2300 Dv / fuel tank problem

Recently I was pouring Stabil in my fuel tank and knocked the plastic cap into the tank. Is there any way to get that out and if not will it ever cause a problem?

I would think not. You should have a strainer on your pick up tube that would keep it from blocking the fuel pickup or being sucked up. If you are still worried, there should be an inspection plate on top of your tank that would allow you excess to get it out. Be sure to use a new gasket when you close it back up.
