I was by a boat shop in Deale Md last week and they had one out on the lot, looked like an older parker you know with the plywood glassed over deck ( no liner) but it was brand new!just an open boat, anyone know what they cost ?
I had the 2520 xl Parker - Prob the worst riding boats I have ever owned !! I owned for less than a year and I am so glad its now sold. I would never think of buying one again.
The old modified V Parkers might not be the best riding boats around, surely they don't have as much V as the new Parkers or other model boats, but for a work horse boat that you will not have any problems with if you maintain it, you can't beat it. Take a look at my 18 year old 23' modified V 1989 hull. I have chartered this boat for all 18 years, plus commercially sold bait with a 120 gal. bait tank in the bow for 10 years. I finally had to have a friend of mine that does fiberglass work replace the transom, after 8 different motors. I did also had him 2 years ago, rip up the deck so I chould check out the 95 gal. fuel tank which I did replace. The stringers were in as good a shape as when they were installed in 1989. Now I have a brand new boat that will be good for the next 18 years. Much longer that I will last I am sure! If you are looking for a boat that will handle 2 to 5 ft. seas, with a little pounding as well as run you across the flats in 18 to 20 inches of water on plane, you can't beat a Parker.
Hi Joe, When I saw the sign "commercial hull" and stopped to look at it I was wondering if parker was offering a budget priced boat compared to the newer fancy ones
That commercial hull is the cheapest that they have. As slow as boat sales have been you should be able to get a good price. My Parker is the commercial hull. I would just as soon not have a liner less weight and easier to find out things before they become problems. What length is it?

It looked to be about 18'-20'
I was thinking the same, in that they may have moved away from ther comercial hulls for awhile but with thing the way they are it may generate sales and keep good crews working
It sounds like an 18 ft. , Parker doesn't make a 20, they make a 21 ft. That is one of the best boats that you could by if that is the size boat you are looking for. their 18 ft. is as big as other companies 21 ft. boats. Put a 115 4-stroke on it and go. For a 18 ft. boat they take the rough water like larger boats and go very good in the shallow water.
