Painting Outboard Engine Cowl
I was wondering if anyone has ever re-done/painted their outboard engine cowl. I have taken all the stickers off but the sticker residue is still behind. Do I need to try to get this off before sanding? Also this is a Yamaha, does anyone have any suggestions on the type of paint to use and maybe a clear coat?

Yes,you do need to get the glue off.Used some WD40 or go to a sign company and ask to buy some glue remover or try actone.Paint?Talk to a bodyshop about that and you might be able to get something there to remove the old glue too!
