    outboard powered centre-cab/walkaround pilothouse

My apologies in advance if this has been done before.

Which builders in the US make these boats ? I'm not talking about a walkaround CC, or cuddy, but a stand-up pilothouse with doors, and hopefully, a reasonably level transition from cockpit to bow area......

In my list so far I have:

Contender (who scrape in because the boat is a fine looking girl)

    Nord Star

    Maritime

    Black Lab

Munson Packman (which although odd, is more than a reasonable seaboat and is great for beaches and divers/kayaks)

There are plenty of other pilothouses and walkaround cuddies, but the boats pictured above are particularly what I'm looking for. Anyone who has any experience of the the boats mentioned, please chime in !

It needs to be trailerable (though with luck most of the time it will sit alongside a dock when not out), under 6000lbs loaded, and broad enough up front to play with Florida swords at night..... please

ps: I know I should really take the Contender out of there, but it is a pretty thing......11,000lbs all loaded...... sigh, won't tow that behind the S.M.A.R.T.

Parker Boats built here in eastern NC builds a fine pilot house boat, they have a new 3420 XLD.

    www.parkerboats.net

They also have several dealers on the west coast.

Take a look at the 32' Jarrett Bay. Similar setup to the Contender but with Carolina styling.

I'd only get the Packman if your invading Miami, not fishing off of it.

Alas, out of my price range and over 6000lbs, but thanks anyway....drool.

The Parker is too big and not the right rig, and the Mirage is too heavy and not out-board powered, alas. Ditto the TrueWorld. I should have been more specific about the size. It has to be under 6000lbs and the price of buying and running the boat has to be within the average guy's reach. Something that runs a single 200 or less motor would be nice.....

    Any more ideas ?

    Thanks for trying guys.

    Roddy,
Only a couple others I can think of that get close to what youre trying to do...

The 20' Shamrock Pilothouse (inboard power):

Or Davis Boats out of Morro Bay, California. They DO make an outboard model, but its not on their website at the moment. I spoke to Harold Davis a couple weeks ago and they are in the process of updating the site...
